About Us
cabe was founded in 2018 when Andy Beaumont and Craig Calvert officially joined forces after having worked collaboratively for almost 20 years. We first began working within the NHS in 2004 when we were asked to help implement an electronic patient record system for community services across Leeds, a significant undertaking which involved training over 3,000 staff.
This was quickly followed by the National Programme for IT which introduced a host of systems and services including the NHS Spine, smartcards, etc. as well as the rollout of clinical systems such as TPP SystmOne and EMIS Web to GP practices, NHS community services and prisons.
Since then, we've become an integral part of the team within NHS Leeds where we are now the sole provider of training and clinical system support for all local GP practices as well as project managing all system migrations together with practice mergers and closures. Indeed, such is our reputation that we are often called upon to provide support to surrounding ICBs. Our expertise covers systems such as TPP SystmOne, EMIS Web, NHS eReferral Service, NHS smartcards, Clinisys ICE as well as many others.
We also frequently work with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe, having helped to implement systems such as CRIS (radiology information system), Agfa PACS, etc.
In 2011 we were asked to help roll out Clinisys ICE both within Leeds Teaching Hospitals and to the associated GP practices (over 100 of them). This has since led to us becoming the subject matter experts on ICE for LTHT where we continue to work regularly.
